Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. Every time the command shell is starting it's executing commands in the file ~/.bashrc to initialise itself. If there are any unknown commands in that file you will get a warning message. Have you changed that file recently?

If you are not sure you can make a copy of the file and then replace it with the content of /etc/skel/.bashrc.

Do you have another terminal application installed? If yes, the error is replicated as in gnome-terminal? You can try uninstall and reinstall the package using System --> Administration --> Synaptic Package Manager.

Can you help with this problem?
