Start terminal zoomed

Asked by hellospencer

I'd need a configuration option for the terminal, where I can select a initial zoom value.

Currently every terminal starts at 100%. Because I'm using a high resolution screen (1600x1400) and it's hard to read the small letters in the terminal, I make use of the zoom function (<ctrl>++). So every time I' starting a terminal (and that's very often), I have to adjust the zoom level to 150% or so by some keystrokes.

A configuration option for a initial zoom level would save me from zooming manually every time I start a terminal.

Where can I request such a feature?

Why not changing font size?
From Gnome-terminal menu Edit->Current Profile deselect use system fixed width fonts and selects fonts and size you want (I use monospace 12).

What Terminal do you mean? I also miss some nice and practical Font-Sizing features..

Also i wonder, why the xterm does not show the Settings-Bar on the right side. (Do you know what i mean? It is possible to change the Font-Size there, in some Versions.)

It's GNOME Terminal 2.18.0. Font size would be a possibility, but it's hard to find:
Edit->Current Profile->Use the fixed system width font
