Ubuntu comes with sudo, su is not active. More or less is sudo -i used instead of -su.
So it's: sudo apt-get install.........
To navigate with "sudo" permission in nautilus: gksudo nautilus. After that please close nautilus!!

Which version of Ubuntu are you using ?

You might well be able to use the Restriced Drivers for your wireless card if you are running Intrepid or higher.

Otherwise, this is a very good howto for ndiswrapper to work

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx/Feisty_No-Fluff

And remember to use "sudo" before any command that requires you to have root (super user) access.
Other distributions use 'su' but on Ubuntu you have to use 'sudo' and enter your own password rather than the root (super user) password

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask NacDrummer for more information if necessary.
