Error: Rage 128 timed out.

Im trying to run FlightGear Simulator on a Ubuntu 6.06

It start to load than gives me the following error
Error: Rage 128 timed out.

What does this mean, can it be fixed?

I run fgfs from terminal, and the error apears just like the following:

opening file: /usr/share/games/FlightGear/Navaids/carrier_nav.dat
/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Navaids/TACAN_freq.dat
Initialising callsign using 'Aircraft/c172p/Models/c172p.xml'
Error: Rage 128 timed out... exiting

Any help would be apreciated

It seems somebody had a related problem and could solve this problem by reinstalling the graphics driver:
