those proprietary programs are not in the ubuntu repositories.

You will have to add the unofficial plf repository (Unsupported. May contain illegal packages. Use at own risk).

Navigate to "System" > "Administration" > "Software Properties". You will have to enter your password here.
go to "third party" tab
click the "add" button
paste this string: "deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ feisty free non-free"
click add
close this windows

Open a terminal
paste this string :
wget -q http://packages.medibuntu.org/medibuntu-key.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

then you can install the packages:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install realplay opera skype
