Terminal deos not respond

Asked by C Jack

I downloaded and installed Easyubuntu, said it would put PGP in my system (no clue what or where that is or what it is for or what I am supposed to do with it if I find it)

and as ordered on the web page, copied and pasted the line ----

(wget -q http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/medibuntu-key.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

---in the Terminal window.

It immediately asked for my password but it failed to respond to anything I typed in. No asterisks, no letters, no nothing appeared in the window. So, it just sits there staring at me, waiting for something I know not what. No matter what I type in, nothing appears and nothing happens. So I am stuck.

Again.

I will appreciate your help.
Thanks

Typing your password and pressing the "Enter" key should work.
You don't get any echo (no asterisk, no letters, no nothing) when you type your password. This is done on purpose (well, not to confound you :), to avoid prying eyes to steal it......).

Can you help with this problem?
