Umm, I'm a little confused here, are you trying to remove Ubuntu(and Ubuntu is not a program, it is an Operating System) or are you trying to reboot your PC?

If you can't download some files from the internet then there maybe nothing wrong with Ubuntu, but perhaps you may not have permissions on the web site itself, did you try logging into the website and then downloading?

Then you may not be able to reinstall Windows without the CD. But please understand a few things before trying to use Ubuntu/Linux. Ubuntu/Linux is an operating system, not a program, you need it in order to actually use the PC for your day-to-day tasks like browsing the web and so on, without an operating system you just have an empty shell as a PC which you can't use for anything. Also understand that Ubuntu/Linux is in no way supposed to be the same as Windows, so you need to get used to the different ways in which things are done on Ubuntu/Linux and this causes a bit of a learning curve but if you keep at it consistently then you should be able to understand the OS(Operating System) quite well.

About the internet problem, you can't really access the internet without an OS in the first place, about the files, does the web site you are talking about use Java or Flash in any way?

You can use imikimi without installing the plugin, but you don't have as many fancy features.

My girlfriend wanted to use imikimi on the ubuntu 8.10 workstation i set up for her. It claims to be a firefox plugin, but comes with several DLLs, think of it like the java or flash plugin rather than a native firefox add-on. I could not get it to work with wine, even when running the windows version of firefox in wine. I'm going to work at it a little more.

imikimi is not something most linux users would want to use, but is a very good example of some of the software written for windows that most users will want to use.

Can you help with this problem?
