how to exit Xwindow

In order to install NVIDIA graphic board driver, instruction says that you have to exit Xwindow. Would you tell me how to exit X window.

1. Use System→Administration→Hardware Drivers (Restricted Drivers Manager) to install NVidia drivers ;-)

2. To leave Xsession press Ctrl+Alt+F1
