wine fails to install or remove itunes & lquicktime

Itunes 7.6.2 [32 bit XP emulation][64-bit Vista emulation]

Not able to add 64 bit Vista to winecnf.
Added 32 bit XP to wine config
Ran executable from desktop and terminal
Installation fails to complete
Uninstall wine programs "installs" instead

I suggest you read the following post at ubuntuforums:

It suggests you remove the .wine folder and then that you run winecfg to recreate wine configuration. However, beware that by doing this you loose all your previous wine configurations and programs installed through wine. It's like starting from zero again.
