Escape character in gnome-terminal

Asked by dupingping

How does Gnome Terminal process escape characters?
I found an error on gnome-terminal when i set the character encoding as Japanese(ISO-2022-JP).
I think that bash and iso-2022-jp conflicts on escape character.
On another encoding, no problem.
And i just know about linux and gnome rarely.
Please help me so let me know more about it.
I reported it as a bug,

Are you sure that it's a bug? Hm.. I need to talk about it with my mate maybe he knows the answer. Anyway, thanks for your feedback.
