Terminal application not working... starts dancing after launch.
I have restarted the system and done "sudo apt-get update".

Have you considered switching to guake or tilda?

tilda works ok. But I would like to know if an app goes wild isn't there any way to fix it. Why should I fall back to something other than this. Linux is so stable and I chose Linux over Windows for that reason. There is a definitely a learning curve and I am happy with it.

It should be fixed, the workaround is not good enough at least if I hear for and from Linux people.
