Asked by vasudevan

I have downloded <Hidownload.exe> executable files from a web site and same is available in my download area specified (ie. the route provided for down loading of files from internet). I am unable to install same as Ubuntu system is not permitting same saying that it is from unauthorised source. How to install it? Pl reply with solutions at the earliest.

If you want to download YouTube videos and similar there are plenty of addons and extensions for web browsers that do this. If you want to get audio from YouTube videos you can use this link:
http://www.youtube-mp3.org

If you want to install Windows binaries you can install Wine using software centre and it may run. Not all programmes run and some will not even install. Some will perform better than they do under Windows but this hidownliader is doing a basic task and there are plenty of native Linux applications that do this.

Can you help with this problem?
