Please give some information about your system . For that....

If you press the 3 keys --- CTRL+ALT+T simultaneously, you will be able to open the Terminal. Copy & Paste the following line in that Terminal

lsb_release -a; uname -a

Hit the ENTER Key. The output will be about the Release, Description etc. Copy & Paste the output in the Message box below.

By bookmark you meant bookmark in Mozilla ?

When you say bookmarks, do you mean the application launcher bar?

You didn't respond to the replies ...... If your wish is to get an application quickly, do one thing...
When you open an application, its icon will appear on the bar....right click on it and choose if there is an option for locking.
I am not sure whether it is the actual thing you want. So please clarify what you meant by replacing a bookmark. Thanks.
So please respond if you wish to get a good answer.

Can you help with this problem?
