was in ds 9, then typed dc, now it wont work what do i do?

I was in ds9. after i closed out then i typed dc. now my command terminal will not work. it just leaves a blank after the dc. yes i am a beginner, and i have no idea of what is going on.

 oh yeah. when i try to exit or anything it says that the stack is empty.

Hi

To end dc, type either ctrl+c or ctrl+d

ctrl+c will cause most Linux programs to terminate.

ctrl+d tells most programs that it is the end of input.
