uninstall ventrilo

I cannot run ventrilo in ubuntu 7.10... i have old version of vent 2.3 and works fine but my server is using current version 3.02 so i need to uninstall what i have now and re install the current version... how is this done

hello
you can do
sudo apt-get remove --purge xxx*
and sudo apt-get install xxx version number**

*= your package
** = your package's version

In this case,
sudo apt-get remove --purge ventrilo
and you can download and install newest version of ventrilo from here:
http://www.ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=102
