Voice on Startup

Asked by joe

I have an application which is now starting in ubuntu gutsy that has a list of country names or languages and a voice listing those. How can I turn this back off? I know RTFM didn't work though:)

About this app says it is Terminal 2.18.2

Any help will be much appreciated.

Look to System → Preferences → Sessions → Startup Programs and try to find and disabled some "strange" program :-).

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I do appreciate the help.

Seems it was an application called Orca, some kind of accessibility app. I was so worried about messing something up I didn't even notice it was a setup screen. Upon going thru the setup, I was able to turn it off.

Again, thanks for the help.
