tried to install program. Coming into the terminal window, a password is requested, but the password I created for logging in, is not possible to write; the cursor's blinking, but when I try writing something in there, neither dots nor letters appear. I have not-as I remember- created a password meant specially for sudo. Here is a copy of the terminal windo

The Terminal does not show your password. Just type it and hit enter.

sudo gives no feedback, if you want feedback then use gksudo instead but sudo is accepting the password, just keep tping as if it were giving feedback. It will work
