need help to run terminal instructions

Asked by Denny Young

I can't run upgrades in ubuntu because it says I must run 'sudo-dpkg-configure-a' manually in ubuntu to fix the problem and I just started using linux and have no idea where to even start trying to do this. Can you please help?

Hi ,

Follow bellow steps please.

1. Close all applications

2. Open only a terminal with Ctrl + Alt + T keys Combo

3. Copy-paste from here bellow commands in to terminal . One command at time. One line = One command

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

sudo dpkg --configure -a

sudo apt-get install -f

TIP : Your password will be asked . Write it carefully cuz it will not show anything. Like you not write anything. This is normal.

4. Post the results of above commands here. No matter how long are.

Thanks
