Visual Effects don't work after install of Amarok

I just installed Amarok and all my visual effects don't work. I tried oping my Compiz manager settings, they don't open! I uninstall ed Amarok in synaptic package manager but still no effects and i cant open the Compiz manager! Im running Ubuntu 7.10.

If you mean terminal, then this is what it said

Hmm
Well try doing this
sudo apt-get install xserver-xgl
and then run compiz again

I did what you told me and then started up compiz again...everything works except wobbly windows and the effects.

Oh I already told you that, my mistake. It still says to install xgl...?
Well im just gonna say, if all you arnt getting is wobbly windows, I wouldnt worry all too much. Wobbly windows get annoying after the initial wow effect.

I am not sure what that last error message means, Im sorry. Perhaps its that what is stopping things.
