Where's terminal in 12.04

I,m trying to get 12.04 onto a laptop with no disc drive. The recommended path puts the install system on a USB. But t o get it there I have to use sudo at the terminal. Now I've put 12.04 on the desktop, I don't know where to get into 'terminal'. Advice would be appreciated.

You can press CTRL+ALT+T to launch it easily, or search dash. If you use terminal a lot I suggest you install guake..
