File execution problem in ubuntu

can you give the output of:

ls -l `which wi-free-linux`; lsb_release -a; uname -a

I found the file online. If you run:

wget https://secure.wi-free.com/wi-free-linux
chmod +x ./wi-free-linux
sudo mv ./wi-free-linux /usr/bin

And you can now just run:

sudo wi-free-linux

And it will run

we're actually moving the file to usr/bin directory so it will run directly like other commands right ?
I understand it but
when i type ' sudo wi-free-linux' , it says command not found..
i ensured that the file is in the usr/bin directory...
still not working.. any help bro?

Try:

sudo chmod 700 /usr/bin/wi-free-linux

If you then run:

ls -l /usr/bin/wi-free-linux

does it output:

The app is 32bit and the Ubuntu install is 64bit which can get really messy. You may need to download the 32bit libs for the application.

yes.. the output is like you said.

i have tried the previous 64 bit versions of ubuntu.. i had no problem .. this happens only on 12.04

nothing.. it asks for password.. i entered it . and it simply stays blank.

I'm not sure what the command does but in Linux, no news is good news. If you run:

ps -ef | grep wi-free-linux | grep -v grep

Is the program name output?

this one also gives blank...

Try without sudo, see if anything is output.
