how to open a terminal

I'm trying to install the font "Times New Roman" in the text document. The answer says to "open terminal and run the following sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts", but how do I "open terminal".
I'm a first time user.

Press CTRL+ALT+T
You will need to use TAB and ENTER to accept a license.

In the Unity dash , just search for terminal .
