cookies

I, the Neanderthal, am wondering how to delete / save, bad / good, cookies,and if I even need to!?
My friend has microsoft, and has a program which automatically deletes so called bad cookies and saves the so called good ones!
My operating system is; Lynux 4.1.3 / ubuntu / GNOME2.20.1

If you are using the Firefox browser click on Edit->Preferences and then choose the Privacy tab. There is a section on Cookies. You can view the cookies and manage them or you can choose to delete them every time you exit Firefox. Here is a link to some info on Cookies http://kb.mozillazine.org/Cookies

Now deciding which are good and which are bad, it's a bit like dealing with weeds in the garden. Delete all and those that come back are weeds. :) To be sure deleting regularly is probably the safest.

As long as it took someone to answer, It must have been a grade school question and answer, and people thought I would figure it out sooner or later?
