How do you get the password for terminal.

It's the same password that you have used for create your user during the install. If you have forget it, follow this:

Ah, remember that the password in the terminal is hidden for security reasons, so if asks for the password, just type it in and press enter.

just type your password. it won't show up on the screen.

You can use gksudo for terminal apps too and you will get a pretty dialogue box to type in with visual feedback
