firefox and flash don't work

Asked by Jon P

Using Ubuntu 6.06 I have never been able to browse the internet with Firefox as it onbly connects to ubuntu web site and not others like yahoo, etc. So i have been using Konqueror which works but can't seem to install flash plug in -non -free as it locks up trying to set up files and never closes . So Synaptic is always open and can't be closed without rebotting. I would klike to use flash on websites as well as firefox. Any help appreciated.

Hi, does the info at https://help.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/desktopguide/C/partitions-booting.html help any?

If the Windows drive is partioned with NTFS then you won't be able to write to it with Ubuntu.
