I have installed 11.04 Unity but while tweaking with Compiz Sett Man I lost all desktop icons and dont even see APP menu at top of page

I have installed 11.04 Unity but while tweaking with Compiz Sett I lost all desktop icons and dont even see APP menu at top of page the only thing i have is docky. I tryed nautilus -k; killall gnome-panel in terminal and got ~$ nautilus -k; killall gnome-panel
Could not parse arguments: Unknown option -k
gnome-panel: no process found
 Any ideas??

tryed nautilus -q didnt work got nautilus -q; killall gnome-panel

if i restart in ubuntu classic i have a normal desktop could i just reupgrade to 11.04 form there would that work?

i restarted in ubuntu classic and changed the settings back then restarted 11.04 that worked i believe its the unity plugin has to be on hope that helps
