        Not So!
E: havp: subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1

Synaptic Package Manager (Can't remove):

        clamav-docs
        clamav-testfiles

When you try to remove or install a package be sure there are not other packages manager opened and or working.
In other words have you close Synaptic before try to remove by command line with:
sudo dpkg --remove hvap

Please send new errors, if you get, here.

Maybe you need to: chown havp /var/run/havp

If I try to down load any new program - havp stops it cold!
also
Lock testfile? I am clueless...

Try to do what error message tell you open a terminal and type:
sudo chown havp /var/run/havp
then try to start havp by typing:
sudo /inint.d/havp start
if it start then try to remove with:
sudo dpkg --remove havp*

Sometimes to remove deb packages they must be in running state...
