Terminal clear

Asked by Nicolas Copernic

I just wanted to know if it is possible to clear the terminal screen.
I know that you can write "clear", or to use the Ctrl+L query, but it just hide the precedent content : if I use the scrollbar, I can see it !

So, I would want to know if it is possible. Thanks, and excuse me for my bad English ;) !

Set the scrollback buffer to zero, or close and reopen the terminal.

Bash keeps a history of what you do anyway, in ~/.bash_history

Running the terminal command "history -c" might clear the history (sorry I don't want to test on my machine).

Good luck,
George
