There is none - Ubuntu uses sudo.

You can create the root password by clicking SYSTEM, ADMINISTRATION, USERS AND GROUPS.
Select root and change the properties.

so how do I create or find out if I have a password for Root?

No simply use "sudo"

HUH? I don't understand. Please explain!

Using terminal or when requested you must type simply sudo + command you want to run as root user
for example:

sudo fdisk -l

Please also type:

man sudo

to get the man page of "sudo"

Hope this helps
