How do I make Gnome Terminal display line numbers?

I am trying to locate a specific line in my code. How do I turn on line number in my terminal?

you want change color, put number 'increasing', etc...there are full of tricks on the net, sometimes it is doing 'man' on your terminal.
google is your friend.
