no system tools 7.04

Asked by Art Cates

I haqve just installed Ubuntu 7.04 and got all the updates.

I want to read some files on a SATA NTFS hard drive that
I moved from an older PC.

One Web site says to start with Applications System Tools
to be able to read NTFS.

My Applications menu does not have System Tools. It goes
from Sound and Video to Add Remove.

How do I install or activate or whatever System Tools?

To read NTFS, you don't have to do anything special. The system tools are not to be found in the Applications menu, but in the System menu. Connect the disk, ubuntu should detect it and provide an icon to browse it in nautilus.

Ralph, you should ask a new question rather than reply to someone elses. To do that visit http://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu and click "Ask a question" in the top left.

Hi,
I was invoking the "Sun vbox" from Application->System Tools->vbox, but all of a sudden it seems to have vanished. Can anyone help regarding invoking vbox in any other way or how to restore the system tools tab.
Thanks in advance.
