gnome system monitor stuck in fullscreen

Asked by alitara

My issue is pretty much exactly what was reported as bug here and closed as invalid:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/208881

Only main difference is that I'm on ubuntu 8.10

In other words: I tried to start a game with wine, it messed up and since then my system monitor is stuck in full screen whenever I start it (there's a screenshot attached in that bug report).

I couldn't however find a way on how to actually fix that. Some help please?

Yes, it doesn't help. Neither does trying to reinstall the system-monitor package.

Are you running copiz? If so, this might help: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=967214

To add on: I ended up reinstalling compiz. Never thought the window manager caused the mess up. Thanks lots. :/
