Would like disk activity

Asked by Cyrille37

Hello,
And thanks for this nice software.

In gnome-system-monitor there is the CPU, Memory and Network graph, but nor a Disk activity graph.
It would be nice to add a disks activity graph.

Regards
Cyrille.

You could try using iotop as an alternative.

Thanks Ian,

It's what I do.
But gnome-system-monitor is very easy and useful on the desktop.
If there is a disk activity graph it's easier to understand why the computer seems to be busy but the CPU seems to not be busy ;-)

Cyrille

Try the Gkrellm utility, that might satisfy what you're looking for:

sudo apt-get install gkrellm

So why not implement it in gnome-system-monitor?
