Ubuntu 12.04 precise (development branch): Problem with changing keyboard layout.

Asked by Stig Endresen

Hello.

It seem to be a problem with changing keyboard layouts from defined shortcuts. I use Ubuntu 12.04 precise (development branch). Configuration is set to change between english and norwegian with left alt + left shift keys. When pressed changes doesn't occur. I am not sure how to debug this but this is what I got so far:

If I open Region and Language settings, and change order for default language I am able to change layout from the gnome menu (top of screen), and back again. After reboot I need to reverse the default layout to make it possible to change from menu. The shortcut for doing this still doesn't work. In some cases which I am unable to reproduce the layout changes from menu without updating visual for what layout is used.

Clearify: lang: no gives english layout and lang:en gives norwegian.

If anyone can help me with howto debug this I will be thankful.

Regards

After the release of the last version of the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, the bug with the changement of the keybord layout is still there.

Thanks for solving that bug.
