Gnome-settings-daemon runs twice

Asked by fishro

Help. Running Gnome3 on Natty. The Gnome-setting-daemon runs two separate instances, with one doing nothing but eat CPU. I can't stop it or kill it, and can't figure out what's launching it.

Thanks.

That's probably why. Gnome3 is not compatible with Natty. It WILL break your OS and you will get issues. I haven't seen a site that didn't have huge warnings stating "This will break your OS" and similar.

I suggest you reinstall Natty, or install Oneiric if you want Gnome3 that badly
