i installed gnome3 but pc not starting

Hi,
    i installed Gnome3 on ubuntu 11.04, I don't even know what is it, but planned to learn so installed,
But, after installing it, I once re-started my system, log-on screen was changed, after entering password nothing is coming other than Ubuntu start up sound.
And i have only one account,switch user option is available in that change session has 3 options "default,recovery console and
user defined"
Please help me, I cant again re-install ubuntu.....

That's because Unity in Ubuntu 11.04 is based on Gnome 2, not on Gnome 3. When you installed Gnome3, you "lost" Unity together with the Classic Gnome Ubuntu, leaving;the OS with no shell. But that has changed in 11.10: Unity is ported to Gnome 3. So you will have to install Gnome Shell or the version of Unity currently used in 11.10 alphas by command line.
