I installed kde and changed to kde desktop and when turned back to ubuntu 11.04 normal desktop its showing nothing, not even launcher,menu and even shut down icon?

Did the ubuntu-desktop metapackage somehow get uninstalled as you installed KDE? Try installing ubuntu-desktop, and see if that fixes the problem.
