Gnome PPP - from where

Asked by srikumar

I have configured a dial up modem using wvdial and would like to use the GnomePPP front end.
i've tried the recommended "apt get install" command but could not install this.

Where is this utility - is it on the Ub 810 installation CD or through the Internet.
How to get about installing it?

anny suggestions?
thanks

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DialupModemHowto/SetUpDialer

There are some instructions there that may help.

Also to install if you already have a net connection active just type:
sudo apt-get install gnome-ppp

You download the deb however here if you have problems accessing the net on the required platform:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/gnome-ppp

Any more questions, please ask, otherwise can you mark this question as answered.

Thanks,
Chris
