Suspend problem in 9.10 on my laptop

Asked by Ali

I have installed ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop (znote 6224w with nvidia geforce 9600gt VGA card).
When I suspend it to ram, it works, but when I want to resume it, I just have a black screen and nothing more. In this position I should hold power button for 5second and turn off the computer and turn it on again.

How can I fix this problem?

I have seen in the ubuntu forum lots of people have same problem and it is not fixed for none of them yet.

Regards

Suspend is hard to get nice. Personally I've never bothered and mark it as a waste of time.

Hope the link works, backup any files you edit BEFORE editting.

Can you help with this problem?
