Kernel problems when suspending with kernel 2.6.28-15 on hp6735s

Asked by Tuxman

When exiting suspend mode on hp6735s with bios revision F0D the fan goes at maximum speed and doesn't slow down until the machine is restarted. In the dmesg log this report appears:

Moreover, if the system is suspended a second time, the fan stops at all and doesn't restart again, forcing to reboot the machine.

Log a bug

Have you tried restarting acpid and hal after the unsuspend

Suspend is a real PITA to get nice so expect a long journey with this.

Can you help with this problem?
