I accidently clicked suspend on my compaq presario 900 using ubuntu 9.04 and it will not wake. How do I fix it?

I accidently clicked suspend on my compaq presario 900 using ubuntu 9.04 and it will not wake the screen is black and it will not boot up and green lights are flashing. I held down the power button and turned it ofrand on about 10 times and did not help.

Disconnect from power, pull the battery out and reinsert.

Alternately, holding the power button for 4-10 seconds may power-off the pc.
