GNOME PowerManager installation

Asked by Max Bosetti

After booting up, the PC displays log in screen. When I fill in the ID - it doesn't ask for a PW - but goes off for 30 seconds and comes back with the same log in screen.
The error message is The default configuration of the GNOME Power Manager is installed incorrectly. Please contact your computer administrator.

I am trying to get all my data off the HDD but can't log into the system to do the transfer.

Why don't you have a backup?
Is the RAM healthy? There is a memtester in the Grub menu you can use

I found a great solution!
Problem was inadequate space on HDD.
