right click on the power/battery icon and increase the amount of time of inactivity required to enable your screensaver, etc.

was a bug, (now fixed) so please upgrade your Ubuntu... from terminal type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
