lid open back already, but backlight still off

Im using Dell XPS M1210, and i set when my laptop lid is close, the laptop will do nothing.
After i close and i open it back, the backlight is off no matter i move my mouse or click the keyboard.
I just manage the heard the sound from the laptop only.
This also mean that the CPU and everythig is running perfectly, just that the screen is off and got no way to on it back.
So is there anyway to solve this problem??

Hi there,

Dell laptops always seem to have this for this problem, and there are ways to configure it, and if you google something like 'xps M1210 fiesty hibernate' you will find forums of other ppl who have dealt with this.

By the way, I have the same laptop, and I set the power settings to blank screen when lid closed, and that works just fine.
