Add cropping option?

Asked by Tau

Hello,

Would it be easy to add an option to crop photos? (As well as scaling with/without keeping the ratio.)

I want to print a digital photo on photo paper, so the photo must fill the paper. Since the photo paper and the photos have different the same size ratios, cropping would be the only way to print a sensible-looking picture.

Is there anything I could do to help?

Thank you.

Hi :)

These are considered "advanced features" that most people will not need to use. However it is easy to install an almost Photo-shop like program called "Gimp" and many releases of Ubutnu already have this in (from the top taskbar)

Applications - Graphics - Gimp

This guide might prove useful if you tend to like advanced features but haven't yet found them in Ubuntu

Good luck and regards from
