Mac Like windows/workspaces preview

Asked by Raghvendra Sharma

Hi Friends,

I am fairly new to Ubuntu.. specially to the new Desktop Effects.. amazing stuff here...:)

Well, I have seen some of Mac OSX and would like to know if..

if there is a feature available that allows a zoomed out preview of all the windows in the current workspace.. and then allows the person to switch to the one he wants to be clicking there... similar to Mac behaviour I guess..

I just happened to see a friend do this on his macbook and was immediately impressed... is there something like that in Ubuntu... may be a bit different.. or called something else... but in essence... similar thing...

would love to hear about that..

regards
raghav..

Yeah, you can do this, for example using Beryl

I believe that what you want is available from the standard feisty Desktop Effects as well:

Ctrl+Alt+<mouse click in upper right corner> gives an overview of all windows on the current side of the cube.

Can you help with this problem?
