LG Flatron 1951S driver

I am running UBUNTU 7.0.4 on a small HP Pavillion s7751 uk with Intel 950 GM graphics and a Flatron 191S monitor.
 and the maximum resolution I can get is 1024 x768 .
By using Windows Vista the same configuration deliver a much higher resolution 1280 x 1024.
In the X11 config file it seems that the monitor id not recognized and a "Generic Monitor" is used.
I can I reach the Vista resolution by running UBUNTU ?

Do you have that resolution in your Mode line at the Display sub section?
