Desktop panel

Asked by Athani

Hello. I right clicked on my desktop panel and selected "add to panel". There I selected "Main Menu (The main gnome menu)". You are aware that this button is a small dot with the ubuntu icon. I want it to look bigger like "The main menu (default menu and application browser)". Is there any way I can do that?

Just right click and select add to panel and the option you are looking for is "menu bar".

Hope that helps

Hi.

Thanks for the answer. But I have the correct "menu" on my desktop. Just
that I want to change to look of the button from the small ubuntu dot to
something larger. How to?

Id say look around in http://gnome-look.org/
I think the corner logo is an icon.

The Main Menu is actually the top panel. If you have in it Applications, Places, System than it IS the Main Menu.
So you don't have to add a second Main menu in the Main menu.
With +Add to panel toy add additional applications that are not shown by default in the Main Menu.

What is missing for you at the top panel?

You can customise the Main Menu via System-->Preferences-->Main Menu.
