Networkmanager disappeared in the panel

Asked by Dieter Klaus

Ola!
The networkmanager-symbol in the panel above disappeared - I did nothing but updates of Jaunty.
"add to panel" -> I don't see nwm; gconf-editor / nm-applet : "stamp" "1". I reinstalled network-manager and -nwm-gnome - no success. Terminal "nm-applet":
** (nm-applet:3555): WARNING **: <WARN> applet_dbus_manager_start_service(): Could not acquire the NetworkManagerUserSettings service as it is already taken. Return: 3

Find and reinstall gnome-panel by going up to the top taskbar and click on

System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manager

it asks for your normal user password, not your SuperUser/Root one. Use either search tool to find and re-install "gnome-panel". Hopefully that should bring it all back

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
