If you have at least one panel on the desktop, you may add with right click
- another panel
- window list
- window chooser
- workspace switcher

- if you have loose the bottom panel, create a new panel with right click on the existent panel and select "New panel"
- Right click on the just added panel and select "Add to panel" and add the applet "Workspace switcher" and/or "Window list" or "Task list" or similar....

Hope this helps

Thanks. That works. But the Microsoft window chooser for me is easier to handle.

Hi again,
for multifunctions on how to choose windows, you may take a look at Compiz.
It has e.g. group, tab, expo functions available through short cuts or mouse.
Config via CCSM
